Terms of Service

Last updated July 11, 2026

This is an editable starter document provided for convenience. It is not legal advice. Have a qualified professional review it before relying on it.

1. About the Service

Idea to Life (the "Service") is a platform that lets you describe a software idea in natural language and receive a generated, tested, and deployed web application. The Service orchestrates third-party infrastructure on your behalf: source code is pushed to a GitHub repository in your account, applications are deployed to hosting services such as Render under your account, databases are provisioned in your Supabase organization, and custom domains you connect remain registered to you. The Service uses large language models provided by OpenAI and Anthropic to generate blueprints, code, and tests.

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to it.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

3. Your Ownership of Generated Output

We believe you should own what you build. As between you and us, you own the applications generated for you, including source code, configuration, and documentation committed to your repositories. Repositories created in your GitHub account, deployments created in your Render account, and database projects created in your Supabase organization belong to you and remain under your control. If you stop using the Service, your projects continue to exist in your own accounts. We claim no ownership of your project ideas, prompts, or the resulting code, and we grant you no less than a perpetual right to use anything the Service generates for you, subject to any third-party open-source licenses included in generated dependencies.

4. Acceptable Use

Your use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In short: do not use the Service to build or operate malware, credential-harvesting tools, spam systems, cryptocurrency miners, or anything illegal or infringing, and do not attack the Service or third parties. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate that policy.

5. Plans, Credits, and Billing

The Service is offered under subscription plans that include a monthly allocation of build credits, and additional credits may be purchased separately. Credits are consumed when builds run; credit consumption rules, plan features, and current pricing are described on our pricing page and may change with notice. Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Cancellation, credit expiry, and refund handling are governed by our Refund Policy. If you bring your own API keys for OpenAI or Anthropic, usage billed by those providers is your responsibility and is separate from your subscription with us.

6. Third-Party Services

The Service depends on third parties, including OpenAI, Anthropic, GitHub, Render, and Supabase. Your use of resources in those accounts is governed by their respective terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, pricing, or actions. You authorize us to act on your connected accounts only as needed to deliver the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service, including all AI-generated output, is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated code may contain errors, security vulnerabilities, or licensing issues; you are responsible for reviewing and testing generated applications before relying on them in production, as described in our AI Content Notice. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated applications will meet your requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the Service, even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, including violations of the Acceptable Use Policy, or where required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, but projects already delivered to your own GitHub, Render, and Supabase accounts remain yours. Sections concerning ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute handling survive termination.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced through the Service or by email, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
